Hello friends!
Today I am sharing a few cards created for the September Inspiration Week for Lawn Fawn. This week is mostly going to be focused on the winter holidays, but there is some fall sprinkled in there.
Living in Florida, I can state for a fact that we have had more warm Christmases where the air conditioner is running vs the heater, so the Christmas Palm Tree dies & Beachy Christmas are so appropriate. If you live near the ocean or a very warm climate, or maybe you just love the beach. Then this set is for you!
The dies were cut using a white cardstock, then colored in using Olo Markers. The images were stamped onto white cardstock and colored in as well. Before layering the dies onto the card, the background was created with the cloud stencils and wave stencils from Lawn Fawn, with LF inks and blender brushes. The smoother your cardstock is, the easier it will be to blend your inks. Really heavy cardstocks absorb a lot of ink, so if you happen to be struggling with blended backgrounds. Maybe change your cardstock to a thinner, smoother one and see if your results are better!
To finish, the sentiment was stamped, and using a glitter pen, glitter flecks were added to the ornaments, shells and coconuts.
For this next card using the Snowball Fight stamp set, instead of creating a scene, I wanted to create a modern looking graphic card. I did this by stamping the “snowmouse” onto different colored cardstock, then diecutting the images. To tie the card together, the sentiment was colored in using coordinated inks. Using a white pencil, the scarfs were colored in just to give the images a slight contrast.
